Beautiful, clear deep and wide rivers now become small, shallow - TopicsExpress

Beautiful, clear deep and wide rivers now become small, shallow and murky. Dense, tall trees and hills has become flat lands, replaced by seas of oil palm plantations, chicken pens, etc.. The nice cool shaded scenic nature country roads has become a dry, dull and hot landscape. Thats what I mostly see when I drive around the Jambusan Podam bau areas. Even when I look on the Google Earth satellite image of my local areas, I can see lots of jungle areas being cleared, Sad parts is the bengoh village areas at 10th miles, on the Google Earth past posted up images from that areas it shown to have lots of beautiful waterfalls, mountains but now it is sealed off because of the dam constructed recently, with its native residents being located. Perhaps quick profit by permanently destroying the beautiful natural is the way to do things here. Things like so called sustainable economy like tourism is only developed in an areas of a certain people only, while the native areas and land that have bigger potential for many types of tourism is ignored and freely given to those unethical developers, and these dammed developers will rape the land and destroy it. Maybe in the near future the whole BAU area will cease to exist, afterall theres still lots of gold underneath it.
