Beautiful reminder of the wisdom in Gods Word as it says to love others as we love ourselves. Quote: We cant really love others beyond the love we have for ourselves. Since love emerges from the heart, that love is colored by our sense of self. How we see ourselves dictates how we see others. We never can have a view of the world or of other people that is not defined by our sense of self. In other words, your relationship with people or your world is directly related to how you feel about you. If you have insecurity or a poor self-image, you may retreat from certain people who make you feel inadequate or non-productive. How you feel about you is either formed by your personal performance or how people treat you which may be unpredictable, OR, how you feel about you is formed by what God says about you and who He says you are. Now that is reliable and never changes. You can form your identity on the promises of GOD and know you are loved and accepted at all times. With that foundation, you can love others with a pure, sincere love no matter how they treat you or respond to you because they do not determine your worth or value. Great knowledge to take into this season of family gatherings and strained relationships. Perhaps the TRUTH of Gods love can set you free to love others unconditionally this season and forever. THAT IS GODS AMAZING GIFT for changing lives and bringing peace. Love yall so much.
