Beautiful sleeping weather last night! Woke up at my usual 04:00-hours feeling refreshed, and when I tuned into Facebook, I felt even better! Reading through local chat and news forums I found no posts about any violence or other serious crimes in the Ashtabula, Ohio, area. Would be nice if it could stay this way so that the many good, kind, and friendly people who reside here can breathe in relief and go about their lives in peace, free from any doubts or threats against their safety. Though I do at times get upset about the declining path to progress our community has taken, it is my community, and has many untapped potentials to one day become a centerpiece of what northeast Ohio is about. The naysayers may challenge that remark, which is their right, but with complete cooperation between the majority of citizens, politicians, and civic leaders, it can be done over reasonable time. We have a beautiful Harbor here, one that once housed boats and ships from all ports of call around the Great Lakes, and the world. The industrial areas on Benefit Avenue and newly developed one on Lake Road just off of Route 11 can readily accomodate just about any manufacturing firm with ease. For tourists, we have several fine marinas, golf courses, wineries, and other entities with much to offer. So, why cant we all work together and promote Ashtabula for what it is meant to be...The Best Location in The Nation?
