Beautiful weather in SW FL this week. Lots of sunshine and the humidity is low. Nice! How about a whats in my yard that I planted update? Just a few blossoms on our red navel orange right now so you have to get near to enjoy. Soon the tree should be covered and well be able to enjoy the sweet aroma from the lanai and pool deck. It always blooms first then about December the ruby red grapefruit get into gear. Planted two different varieties of Papaya from seed last spring. The light orange fruit variety trees have male and female plants & are 5 tall and setting blossoms. The red fruit variety is growing a little slower and my half dz plants are only about 4 tall and no flower set as yet. Our sole FL Avocado planted from seed is doing well at 2 1/2 years old and close to 6 tall. Still no blossom yet but the tree is still a year maybe two from being mature enough to bear fruit.
