Beautiful words from the patriot guard we thank you! The Patriot Guard has been asked to stand for one of the greatest generation and a true American Hero this Saturday November 9TH . Curt as he was called by so many Served in the Army 44TH Infantry Division during WWII and received the Purple Heart at the Battle of the Bulge in December of 1944 and awarded the Bronze Star for heroic action while engaging the enemy forces near Rimling, France in early 1945. But like so many of those that were there he didnt speak much about it. After the Army he went back to Clemson and got his degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1948 and met his loving wife Ruth and came home to Dalzell to start a family and his farm. The Edens have a very large farm that he and his wife lived right in the middle of surrounded by all his family that still work on the farm BTW if you have eaten peanuts anywhere around here you probably have had their peanuts because his peanut farm is the largest this side of Plains Ga. Mr. Edens was a very active member of our community and always stressed to his kids and grandkids that Family was first. The Funeral will be this Saturday Nov 9TH at Dalzell United Methodist Church 3330 Black River Rd. Dalzell SC with Burial across the street from the Church in Tirzah Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
