Because I am in no mood to write an editorial column, I just want to ask an open ended question. How many of you think that Thailand itself will become a major power in the world, perhaps in the near future? For one, I feel we lack certain fields of expertise, yet we cling on to this belief of extreme patriotism that we are essential and relevant to the world. I feel that somehow that nationalism will lead to the downfall of the country, as arrogant individuals find it hard to advance in life. Feel free to disagree with me though.
