Because I “know me,” and I loathe steamy humid weather—about as much as I detest mosquitos, I’ve been hitting this yard like a crazed maniac. The minute it gets hot around here (and trust me, it does), I will put my stuff away and quit. Fearing we might just skip spring and bounce right on over to summer—especially after this crazy weather year—I have worked whenever it has been feasibly possible, in grubby pants, torn sweatshirts, with a rake or a chainsaw in my hand. It was in this attire that I accepted a package from the UPS guy. He looked at me, looked at the pile, scratched his head. “You did all that?” I nodded. “Wow,” he said. “I don’t think it is going to fit in one of those containers though.” I guess I’ll find out tomorrow when the container comes. I don’t think so either. Meanwhile, Sunny has been with me every step of the way, eternally optimistic that I will again, drop everything, and toss her another tennis ball. Such is life here at the “Woodside Leaf and Limb Farm!”
