Because Kiribati is so remote it is normally @$8,000 to get a 20 foot shipping container to the islands.We have a good friend/connection in the islands who has connected us with a shipping company who will give us a special humanitarian aid rate of $4,000! Half price! This is still a whole lot of money to find but if we can fill a container with donated medical and health supplies, I think we have a good chance of appealing to business and service groups for donation of funds to cover the shipping costs.
