Because creative and constructive criticism is bad, I decided to - TopicsExpress

Because creative and constructive criticism is bad, I decided to re-post this to show others how I felt. I had posted this on the previous positivity thread that unfortunately got removed immediately after I posted it. I will start this out by saying this: Ive been LARPing since 2005. Yes, I go to Knight Realms in New Jersey. I am a marshal at the game. I wanted to come to a game that a friend had pushed because of the environment. It was a new experience playing with 50 people instead of 250 people. It was easier to see the cliques and downfall of some players; Those players were welcoming to others and those who would rather be left on their high-horse with their own group(s). As a player who has only attended one game so far, I would like to personally thank both Dave and Cole for being amazing help. Dave has answered any and all questions for me, going above and beyond his duties as GM. He has also been a great friend; he helped me plan my trip out for the game and went as far as picking me up from the airport. Cole was able to help me with my character concept and make her come alive. Without the both of them, along with others on the way, such as the Jordans, I dont believe Id ever make it to KanarK. I can’t wait to take the next step, move out west, and come to the game more often. Although this is a “positive” feed, there can be no positive without the negative. I will admit that when I came to the game, I had no “new player” interaction, or someone to teach or help me at the game. While yes, there are people I talk to from the game, I didnt want to rely on them. There was no New Player marshal to help or answer questions I have. I may be a long time LARPer, or a player at another game, but all are different. I’m also not one to praise one or two others just because I enjoy what they write or make me feel good about myself. I’m aware I may get negative feedback, but I could care less. I look forward to coming back out to the game in a few months.
