Because of the campaign, I am adding new Facebook friends almost daily. However, new friends, you should know this about me: I have been using Facebook for a long time to promote the various musical ventures to which I am connected. In other words, depending on where you live (and yes, my Facebook friends are sorted by home town and other random factoids [e.g., “musicians”]) you may get invitations to Angelas, Sounds of Summer - Athens, Tennessee, Ascension Life or events that feature any number of bands in which I play or support, such as the Tim Hughes Quartet, Scenic City Soul Revue, The Big Mcminn County Big Band Band, etc. Additionally, I have family in Arizona, Kentucky and Virginia and now on deployed to Kuwait. We use Facebook to share pictures and updates on life happenings. So if invitations offend you, or you don’t want to see pictures of my family and friends, feel free to “Un-friend” me. If you prefer just to keep up with opinions or updates related to the campaign, you can click on #hughesforcitycouncil and avoid all the other stuff.
