Because of the insane amount of butthurt about this image posted earlier, I feel like I should explain a few things to you dorks. Theres nothing elitist about pointing out how something is clearly one genre and another thing is obviously totally different. Notice how I even include a new and popular hardcore band like Backtrack in this image. Because thats just it, THEY play hardcore and the bands on the bottom dont. It has nothing to do with what I consider tr00 or whatever. Its just not the same genre. So basically if I say My Chemical Romance isnt black metal, Im elitist? Ok then lol. Yes, Defeater is melodic hardcore, but melodic hardcore is not hardcore. In the same vein as melodic death metal versus death metal; they sound nothing alike. Now without further ado, please carry on with your teenage angst on how you think Sworn In is hardcore.
