Because this news is likely to get out, Ill just give everyone the heads up here. As of today, I am no longer employed by the Silvertips. While this decision was not mine, I do understand why it was made. Its definitely scary, but at the same time, it opens up a lot of opportunities, gives me a chance to make some positive changes and I believe it will be better for me in the long run. Im not exactly sure whats next for me, but Ill take some time to figure that out. Obviously, if you know of any opportunities for which you believe Id be a good candidate, please let me know. For the record, I hold no ill will towards the team or any of my coworkers. Ive had the pleasure to work with a lot of truly remarkable people in the last 11 years. While weve struggled a bit in the past few seasons, I fully believe this is one of the best franchises in WHL (and all of junior hockey) and I hope you continue to support the players and, most importantly, the people who work up front. It can sometimes be a thankless job, so make sure you let them know you appreciate their hard work. I wont go through with tagging everyone Ive worked with because Ill probably forget someone. Suffice to say that Im glad we were able to spend time together, in whatever capacity it was, and I look forward to remaining friends long into the future. Now I think Ill go see a movie...
