Because woman lives so close to our first mother, the Earth, she emanates the strength and harmonious nature of all things. “Whatever you are physically...male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy--all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside.” This wombyn warriors event was an honor for Desirae and I to be a part of. We are thankful to be a part of a collective of individuals who are so supportive and loving, and we would like to thank all of the warriors who made this event possible. We would like to give a special thanks to Suaro Cervantes for taking the time to organize the youth art area, the flower of life mandala, and inviting his mother Susan Cervantes, to Susan Cervantes for sharing the development of the Maestra Piece as a visual testament to the courageous contributions of women through time and around the world, and for sharing the history of precita eyes enriching urban environments and educating community through mural art Ash Lee for having the courage to bring the invasion of womens minds, bodies, and spirits to the forefront in her inspiring spoken word piece, for speaking on how we can support the 13 indigenous grandmothers mission to heal the water through ceremony, and proving that an all women crew can hold down the sound tech, Selecta Green B for bringing the irie vibes on the ones and twos, Alexis Augustine for bringing her beautiful jewelry and leading us in prayer, Nizhoni Ellenwood for her powerful prayer and song, Alexa Zapanta Syed and Kaira Portillo for leading the interactive challenges and breakthroughs activity, Jennifer Greco for being an amazing hostess, collecting emails, and inviting Homeless Prenatal to build with seeds, Cleo Fungk and Rita Boutit for holding down the ThePharm CommunitySpace-Marketplace and being supportive in every way, Teyler Wallace and Stephanie Catherine Moore for taking beautiful photos, Stephanies beautiful daughter Isabella for sharing her wisdom and inspiring the next generation of wombyn warriors, Nikila Badua for supporting seeds with her art work and beautiful spirit, Jewel HonyBadger Boone for holding down the kids zone, Favi Estrella for sharing her beautiful songs, Gary Whitaker and Kimberly Moore for being present and helping in any way that they could at the event itself, Audiopharmacy for their support, and Bissap Baobab Village for hosting our second installment of the seeds event.
