Beck said he is opposed to military intervention in the conflict, but that doesn’t mean we should have disarmed Ukraine on the false premise that we would be there in their time of need. He said Ukranians remember the “man-made famine” implemented by the Soviet Union in the 1930s that killed between 6 and 8 million people. He’s seen the footage of soldiers guarding the fields, and the children trying to sneak in getting shot by soldiers. “They know the Soviet Union and Russia is a death machine,” Beck said. “And just like the former Soviet leaders, the Russian leader, Putin, is not going to – under any circumstances – allow Ukraine to fall into control of someone not aligned or easily controlled by him.”
