Become intimate for a moment with any tree... a shrub, any insect... and you will be touching the roots of timespace... ‘that strange and alien intelligence’ that is falisified and wondered over in popular cultures around the world. Any living being is a door beyond all imagining, beyond all possible mechanism or conjecture. That door leads to something ecstatic, intelligent... and impossible. Make contact with a bee or a rat, and you are touching the living spark of a thread of beings far older than our measures of time could convey. Older than the universe. The living ‘tip’ of a vast meshwork of relationships, crises, births, deaths... epic beyond all possible conception. Yet available, nonetheless, to those who would discover the bases of our minds and humanity. To those whose humanity is still vital enough to understand the door. Or better still, to catalyze its local presence and expression. As our own minds. Any leaf or gnat. The entire living history of life on Earth is alive and complete, right next to us. Wonders far beyond those we imagine we may discover in space exist in our constant and ordinary proximity. Yet, we have been made oblivious by familiarity and language. We not only cannot see what is here, our crude ideas and wild sentimentality busily invent fictional overlays that blind and convert us to their implications. But our nature, our birthright... lies with living beings and places. These are, in fact, the extensional unities that our bodies and minds ... are ‘organs’ of. These... are our own bodies... outside our body. They are a form of time... outside of time...
