Bedside manners: While there I had a heart sonogram done. Laying on my side the attendant doing it was shocked when the Dr and I got into a heated discussion as to why my stomach was extended. He said...Yeah, youre fat....I begged to differ and explained all the steriods from the last time were what caused my rapid growth spurt. He laughed out loud and said Call it what you want, youre fat. Youre eating too much processed foods, too much canned foods, not enough exercise. I went on to tell him he was wrong that I did walk three miles a day when I could and ride my bikes 5 miles as documented here in my postings...and I know we are eating healthy. We do not buy boxed foods. Period If I want mac and cheese, I do it like Bonnies and I cook it. We eat normal portions. We have fish, salmon and rice. We dont fry foods. We baked chicken or cook it in a soup. It upset me . The room was packed. When he lift I told him I didnt like his bedside manner. He said Whatever....The other hospital employees were shocked and reported him to the administrator. Apparently he talks to everyone like that. Nurses included and the complaints stacked up. Well, today, before I left, my roomies daughter came back and told he he had just gotten fired! Woo-Hoo....HERES ONE FOR THE FAT GUY!
