Been a busy two days: going to Tupelo for my moms successful battery replacement on her pacemaker, then to The Med in Memphis as my mother-in-law was transferred there. Pray for her and the drs. Pray for my sweet wife who is staying with her this weekend. Ready to preach Part 3 of the message: Are You Connected To God? (1 Thessalonians 1) in the am and The Practice of Prevailing Prayer (Daniel 10:1-14) These two messages go hand in hand. Its not in the blessings that your trust in Christ is tested, but in the adversities that you experience in life. Knowing Whose I am sustains me in such days. It will also cause my prayer life to deepen. Being connected to God in Christ also gives one a privilege of having at his/her disposal countless fellow followers of Christ, who encourage us in known and unknown ways. Today was one such example. A Chaplain and his assistant came into my mother-in-laws room and prayed for her, the drs and for us. I am many times on his end of ministry. Today, I was the recipient of such a ministry. Additionally, while preparing for the day, I get a text from one of our members: Praying for yall this morning. Came across this verse; He answered their prayers because they trusted in Him. (1 Chronicles 5:20) There is NOTHING life being a follower of Christ. I trust that all of you, my friends are. If not, message me with your questions. Id love to dialogue with you. God bless you.
