Been a stormy few days up in Argyll! Its supposed to calm down a bit tomorrow, heres hoping :-) The pictures Ive put on today have been from my trip from Lochgoilhead to Dunoon. There have been loads of eider ducks floating around minding their own business and caught one fluffing up its down feathers ready for someones duvet. Ive been surprised by the amount of war memorials in the last few days. Apparently, the were no charmed villages in this part of Scotland at all! A charmed village is a term used to describe somewhere that suffered no war dead. I myself didnt know what a charmed village even was until informed tonight by Andrew. Also pictured is a statue to Mary Campbell or Highland Mary in Dunoon. Robert Burns had an affair with her after he felt he had been deserted by Jean Armour in 1786. But the highlight for me has been to see the plaque next to The Holy Loch commemorating the Cockleshell Heroes daring and brave mission during the Second world war. I received a bit of advice not long ago to try to live in the moment, I wasnt really sure what that meant before but Ive been trying it out. When even I start to over think or stew on something, Ive been trying to physically do something and found that to an extent, that works! :-) Even something like getting my camera out and looking for things to take a picture of, works!!! Not all of the time but on the whole, it does and that gives me a bit more hope that I can recover and deal with the crap in my head :-D
