Been a very long day. Just got in from a ball game. I don’t usually go to ball games, but I had to see my niece playing in her band. Congrats to the JCJC team for a great victory in a very close game- it was really intense. Congrats to the JCJC band for their excellent performance- they are truly a terrific band. For anyone who knows me- you had to be there. I had everyone laughing before the game started. It had rained earlier and the seats were still a little wet. I didn’t think much about telling everyone before I sat down that it looked like I was going to wet my pants (what do you expect with a wet seat to sit on?). When everyone started laughing I just mentioned that I’m an old man- I’m used to my pants getting wet- for some reason they thought that was even funnier. Before I knew it, I was flirting with everyone’s wife, and the husbands seemed to enjoy it. Every girl in the band, the dance ensembles, and the pep squad now know that they can get my phone number from my niece in the band (she pretends she gets mad at me- I’m not sure why). I met my niece’s boyfriend, and now he knows she wasn’t making up stuff about me. And it didn’t take many hugs from that girl in their mascot’s suit for me to realize I was in love with her. Once when she (the mascot) was hugging who I thought was her boyfriend, I didn’t want him getting jealous of me, so I gave him a great big hug too. When the band and dancers were doing some kind of celebration dance, I tried to dance with them, but the way they were laughing, I knew I wasn’t that great a dancer. Anyway, I’ve flirted with waitresses and cashiers from Louisiana to Florida and I’m not sure where all else, but I don’t think I’ve ever flirted with so many women in one evening as I did tonight. It was all in fun, and I had everyone laughing. Even the campus police and college officials who like to keep things under control and make sure that things don’t get out of hand were laughing at me. Of course everyone knows that’s why I’m so shy- I mean if everyone laughed at you, you’d be shy too, right? Anyway, I’m exhausted, but had a great evening. Good-night all. Great bunch of people, and I don’t think I’d mind going up there and camping out on their campus for a few weeks (or maybe years). My niece would love that, because I could continually embarrass her in front of all her friends.
