Been feeling a bit overwhelmed these last two weeks due to all lifes turmoils that we have experienced. Still looking for a place, the place that we had finally come to an agreement on will not work...at the last moment, it came to light that it is now zoned AR2, which means only one hooved animal per acre, so that was a no go. It would have been great for the humans and a few of the lifers here but OHANA MEANS NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND, WE ARE FAMILY, so for the last week, 6 hours a day are spent on the road, looking for Ohanas forever home. We took a break tonight and went over to Lori Smith house for a get together. Was great visiting with all of them and having a few laughs with Denise Elston..thanks gals, we really needed the time away from the ranch for a bit. When we got home, it was so sad to see the condition of the property. Weeds growing, broken fences...UGH...but we will NOT put any more time, energy or money into this place. Lil Bit had decided while we were gone to try and jump the fence..she almost made it but took out the top board. You know this actually put a smile on my face, :) why you ask, because it was a HARD reminder of all the fencing that we have done here, and will not have to do no longer. There is a silver lining to this adventure that we are about to embark on, just hoping it shines soon, because I hate feeling the uncertainty.. This week I think that the POD will be finished being packed up...and I can say this...OHANA MUST BE DOING GOOD BECAUSE THE DEVIL IS SURE TRYING TO GET IN OUR WAY.
