Been hesitant to post photos of the new painting I work on. One - TopicsExpress

Been hesitant to post photos of the new painting I work on. One reason was mentioned already; added to that is the fact that this will perhaps be minor, not only in size, to the one earlier. The first photo a look behind me with the last painting hanging temporarily to dry. The new painting is 36 X 48 inch, oil on canvas; the principal characters are four school-age girls and the subject has to do with, lets us say, discovery. I have painted many more square yards of smooth surfaces then canvas but, if working on quality and properly prepared surfaces, generally make very little distinction. Here, unfortunately I do have issues that I mentioned earlier. The prepared, stretched canvas has been build very well but unfortunately using a coarse fabric and green wood. Even after applying another coat of primer/sealer, the surface is rough; it will likely eat five times more brushes as The Line. Also, I notice that the center wooden braces have begun to buckle. Another same size canvas I primed as a possible replacement is buckling in from both sides. Living in a rural area it would take time to remedy this situation... I am ready to paint and have a clue on how to fix the issues later.
