Been overhearing this conversation between these 2 women, - TopicsExpress

Been overhearing this conversation between these 2 women, strangers, for the last 15 minutes or so. Man.....it was so apparent! This Indian woman was seated a few seats from me. There are numerous empty tables and seats. Yet she chose to ask the Indian woman whether she could sit right opposite her - in the nicest friendliest tone ever. Immediately this caught my attention. The 2nd woman, local Chinese, immediately engaged her in the friendliest conversation ever. Which was highly unusual. She asked the Indian woman where she worked, what was she doing etc. This forces most of us to be polite right and we not only answer but feel obliged to ask the same back in return. Wayy too much conversation for the first few minutes. I waited. Ah.....it came. My suspicion was right. Either one of those little cult church group that sends its flock out to preach and recruit......or worse.....MLM marketing!!!! Guess Which... When the Indian woman asked Chinese in all politeness where she does, she replied confidently.....Oh I have my own business, dealing in anti ageing! And then she started a spiel about how well shes doing, how much money shes making...anti ageing....etc etc....then of course.....would you be interested? The poor Indian woman I thought! I was actually in a hurry but thought.....OMG...I so have to hang around to see how it goes! Went to grab a coffee while taking occasional glances to see Chinese showing other her laminated badge etc. But by time I came back, potential victim was smart enough to get away and MLM was shooting there looking a bit down. She spotted me sitting down at which I hurriedly took out my phone and got busy typing this story and studiously avoiding her eyes; though she tried for a few minutes. She sat there eating the rest of her tau huay looking despondent but no way do I feel sorry enough for hey to let her start her spiel on me. Really.....I hate those MLM pyramid schemes. Theyre like vampire businesses. They pretty on the weak and vulnerable and suck in their money with ridiculous promises and schemes. Then theyre desperate and to recoup their foolish investments, they start recommending and sucking in their friends and families money too. Pyramid of foolishness. It absolutely takes you to be a little sociopath to recruit in your friends and family to recoup your initial investment especially once you realised it was a lie.
