Been playing with freeebmd.org.uk and ancestry.co.uk - just checking back through family history (Was bored lol)... So far Im back to the early 1800s/latter part of the 1700s! Totally crazy part is this all started due to a lady from New Zealand who came in photocopying stuff and some of the stuff was obviously birth certs so we got chatting. She started to mention family names (my family names) and areas where I originate from. Needless to say Im kinda Whoa! Hold on there Silver...!! Turns out we could be distant cousins of some sort. Never met the person before, just goes to show how small this world is... the Irish search is irishgenealogy.ie/en/ just wondering how far back I can get - been researching my Mums maiden name Middlemist (Lot of variations on it ) but the earliest records go back to the mid/late 1300s!
