Been quiet most this week about the Pontiac Police Officer and his K-9 that were killed by a selfish idiot that was drunk and driving. My heart keeps tugging at me...remember the family. Remember what it was like when your dad was a police officer. Remember what it was like when the phone rang at strange hours and the caller id said City of Bloomington and you knew who might be on the other end of the line. Courtesy call letting us know my dad had to go out of town for an investigation...or a phone call filled with doom and gloom?? That call and/or visit this officers family got this week is a call that will never leave their memory. How I know is because I can remember with absolute clarity the calls received just a courtesy to my family. God Bless this officer and his brave partner. Once part of the family in Blue always a part. May peace come to all.
