Been slowly, but surely back at it again with Jacoby. From a - TopicsExpress

Been slowly, but surely back at it again with Jacoby. From a respiratory standpoint, the RSV and Rhinovirus really did some damage to her lungs. To go from having 6 hours a day off the vent to Jacoby needing her vent 24 hours a day really just breaks my heart and beats me up inside. Jacoby is so resilent though and never gives up on the fight. Continuing to fight and stay positive in knowing we will get back there again with hard work and most of all patience and time. I can tell Jacoby misses that freedom of being off the vent. She knows how to be so much more mobile when not connected to her vent. She loves being wheeled around the house in her stander, which we would always do when she was off her vent. This Mommy does not care, I will strap that vent on my back and we will continue to do everything we were doing before, just a little more work with her sidekick wanting to hang out with us all the time! At least her oxygen does not want to hang out with us all the time too!! Finally on room air during her awake hours and Jacoby is saturating like a champ! Continuing to pray that the Lord will protect us and keep us healthy as we stay Bubbled up at the Arnold Compound the rest of the Winter.
