Been spending many hours on 10 must see lists of other countries so today I ll write my 10 must see list for Malaysia. 1.Kuching, Sarawak- no explanation needed. Bonus: Many trips can be organised from the city. 2.Kundasang, Sabah- KK is alright but visitors should not miss the view of the granite top of Mount Kinabalu. Sepilok if you have more time and money. 3.Pulau Perhentian- is my favourite, but Redang or Tioman is alright too. Sipadan for diving. 4. Langkawi- the most beautiful beaches in Malaysia and most accessible. The contrast between eating nasi lemak at a roadside stall and dinner on a yacht is mind boggling. 5. Taman Negara- only if one has not been to deep jungles of Amazon. Or Belum Forest or Tasik Chini 6.Penang- Best city for tourist in Malaysia. 7.Kuala Lumpur- only if one is interested in shopping. Especially electronics. 8. East Coast road trip- driving from KL to KT is the best view of Malaysia except it is crazy driving here and the lookout points are not so obvious to international visitors. Durian stop by the highway. 9.Kota Bharu- sleepy towns, interesting food and different vibes from the rest of the peninsula. 10. Food- not a destination but definitely a must see, if not consumed. Any pasar malam, even a pasar tani would bring joy to any foreign visitor. Best would be a Bazaar Ramadhan:)) I ve left out some obvious and some not so obvious spots mainly because I either have seen something similar elsewhere but better (Malacca) or the destination does not warrant the arduous journey to get there (Kuala Perlis) or I ve never been;) so please share your must see list!!
