Been to hospital today for one of my six monthly eye checks and it turns out that I have lost some more vision in my left eye (I have suffered from Pageantry Glaucoma for the last fifteen years or so, but hey ho worse things happen at sea). Anyway a friend of mine was quite concerned, but then suddenly panicked and nearly crapped himself when he realised I had driven him to Heathrow, Gatwick and back last week, in the dark! Fortunately I still have one good eye and reasonable views from the part of my left eye that works so I am legal to drive, although after last weeks exploits I am minded to be extra vigilant on roads I don’t know………… PS: Don’t sneak up on me from my left!
