Been trying to take it easy but still have fun these past few days. Shes been minute to minute lately... One minute shes happy and laughing and the next minute shes tired and saying her belly hurts. A variety of things seem to suddenly set off these stomach aches, such as too much noise when I tried to take paint with her at the Clay Pen, the bright sun on her when she was riding in the car, the heat from the fire in the fireplace last night, and when she was trying to participate in some of the tutors reading and writing activities. Even small spurts of the TV or radio seem to be culprits. She keeps getting back up when she can though!! :) Last night I woke up to her having a very bloody nose, which was a little alarming as well, but luckily it started clotting after 15-20min so we were able to avoid a trip to the ER. I am not going to be able to avoid buying new pillows and possibly a rug after all that though! Even still, Ill happily buy new pillows over going to the ER any day. My favorite part of the day, amongst all the ups and downs, was definitely when her friend, Evie, came by after school. The sound of Kiley playing dolls and giggling with a little friend in the next room is enough to make me feel all giddy inside, almost like after the time you first realized you passed your drivers license test back in high school. Its that good. Probably even better actually... Tomorrow we head back in for the third time to see if she can be admitted for her next round of chemo. I have no idea what to expect, especially now with all of her highs and lows. I do know, however, that this time I am definitely rooting for us to get admitted. The reason for that is because if we do, then theres an excellent possibility Kiley could be home for turkey day!!! So please, keep doing the ANC dance for Kiley when you can :)
