Been watching the Cosby Show the last few days. I remember when this show first aired in 1984. There were no television sitcoms at that time that portrayed a black successful family. We were all amazed to see a black family that wasnt struggling, a black family that loved the arts, a black family that had a stable history and classy. We were shocked to see a black family where both the husband and wife were professionals and not playing servant roles nor did they act a fool. We sat there every episode with our mouths opened and it was and still is funny. Bill Cosby had a vision and now every time he opens his mouth the media tries to make it seem like he is old and senile because they do not want to give him his due. When ever he opens his mouth he tells the truth about issues in the black community. I remember when they first started making black baby dolls and once again… our mouths were open! We had never seen that
