Beer stein, or simply stein, is an English neologism for either - TopicsExpress

Beer stein, or simply stein, is an English neologism for either traditional beer mugs made of stoneware, or specifically ornamental beer mugs that are usually sold as souvenirs or collectables. In German the word means stone and is not used to refer to a beverage container. Such steins may be made out of stoneware, pewter, porcelain, or even silver, wood or crystal glass. They may have open tops or lids made of pewter. Steins usually come in sizes of half liter of a full liter. An unusually large German beer stein has been recorded (31.99 liter capacity: weighs 15.88 kg when empty.) now that is a big beer stein. The one we have is a full 1 liter and measures 12 inches to the top of the lid. This is a wonderful example of a quality beer stein and is available to be purchased today. The high relief and decorated surface is in excellent condition. Come in today and take a look at it.
