Before Hollywood: The Go-Betweens, 1983 - voted one of the best Australian groups and albums of 1983, Before Hollywood still evokes a flood of emotions for anyone who loved it then...and certainly now. why? who knows, but its all in the songs, the performances and the production. very, very compelling, demanding the listener to respond somehow although youre not even sure what its all about. now thats powerful. not a bad song on the whole album and it works as many songs that make a single unit. we used to call that a concept album back in the day when such a idea had meaning. ;-) enjoy.
