Before I close the book on #2014, I thought I’d sum up my year. There were some EXTREME HIGHS and dips, I call them dips because I don’t believe in lows…one of my BIG HIGHLIGHTS was to finally connect with the #DonnaSummer side of my family. Donna Summer (who’s Birthday is today!) is a cousin of mine on my father’s side…I went home this summer to work on a documentary which finally connects the dots and met cousins I didn’t know. It’s always amazing to see resemblance in lineage…we are definitely connected through our freckles! lol I went back to my roots, dug up some weeds and planted new seeds! Then off to #ITALY where I got a little GANGSTA and directed 5 short films for an international film festival called #cinemadamare …I joined 100 filmmakers from all over the world…an experience that can be summed up as a moment to cherish as a once in a lifetime event… Upon my return I began work on my docu-series Diary of a REEL Girl, with our presenting sponsor Miss Jessies, after 2 episodes we received the tragic news that one of the Founders #TitiBranch passed away…not an easy life event to digest, to accept or to understand. My prayers continue to stay with Miko and the Miss Jessie’s family…it’s never easy to lose family during the holidays…let us keep the Miss Jessie’s family lifted…we have 6 more episodes to go, executive produced by Titi…I am sure God’s revelation will continue to unfold as we move forward into the New Year…Id like to thank everyone who textd, who called and emailed me to give words of encouragement. THANK YOU! So, as this year comes to a close, I want to remember all the special moments that gave me STRENGTH and COURAGE…that renewed my FAITH, that even tried to knock me down because those things, the moments when you’re in the last round in the ring, fighting for your title are the moments that make you…they made me STRONGER, WISER…gave me a tougher skin…but in it all, LOVE and JOY always prevails…and my CREATIVITY is always unleashed in a different way... I AM THANKFUL for a COLORFUL PERSPECTIVE on life, for my FAMILY and FRIENDS…and looking forward to #2015…there’s LOTS of GREATNESS and more EXCITING MOMENTS in store :) On that note, I hope that everyone will have a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR…and may PROSPERITY and BLESSINGS pour unto you until you overflow! #2015 here we come!!! #HAPPYNEWYEAR #itgetsGREATERLATER #HigherandHigher #onward
