Before I condemn the Bodo militants who attacked and killed many tribals in Sonitpur and Kokrajha districts of Assam, I would like to know the version of the NDFB(S) or whichever body committed this act. What harm had these poor adivasis ( tribals ), including women and children, done to you, for which you attacked them and did ethnic cleansing ? It is alleged that the attack was in retaliation to counter insurgency operations in which two Bodo militant leaders were killed. But what had these poor tribals to do with that ? It is reported in the media that tens of thousands of tribals have fled their homes. Many, including women and children killed, all houses in Milanpur village reduced to ashes. Many adivasis have fled to West Bengal. Why ?
