Before I continue on vetting more candidates I want to clear - TopicsExpress

Before I continue on vetting more candidates I want to clear somethings up. Rand Paul supporters keep pointing to Ted Cruzs wife and her position at Goldman Sachs. It really bothers me because I have done my own research and found somethings interesting and have also not been able to find others. First lets address the Goldman Sachs-Heidi Cruz issue. Yes, she is a VP at the firm. However I havent been able to find any improprieties between the two. In fact when the Cruz wanted to contribute more to his campaign they liquidated their own net worth of $1.7 million. In a glimpse into their marriage that Mr. Cruz called “illustrative,” he recalled saying to his wife in the weeks before his Senate primary, when he was still behind in the polls, “Sweetheart, I’d like us to liquidate our entire net worth, liquid net worth, and put it into the campaign.” “What astonished me, then and now, was Heidi within 60 seconds said, ‘Absolutely,’ with no hesitation,” said Mr. Cruz, who invested about $1.2 million — “which is all we had saved,” he added — into his campaign. -JEZEBEL 10-24-13 Ill put all the links on the bottom for everyone to verify. The links are in reverse order of the facts I posted. So I challenge anyone to show where he has used her to further fund his campaigns or any such contrived issues between the conglomerate that is Goldman-Sachs and their Vice President Heidi Cruz. Has Ted Cruz received contributions from the firm? Well of course he has its disclosed in the FEC (Federal Elections Committee). So I have looked up both the Kentucky and Texas senators contributors. In fact if you want to play that angle lets see who else got contributions that are questionable and let the chips fall where they may. According to the FEC the Rand Paul senatorial campaign received money from Google. ...despite its status as a Fortune 500 company, Google is among a growing group of powerful corporations closely aligned with the left. Based on my estimates, Google’s employees are the fourth most liberal of any U.S. corporation, behind Genentech, Apple Inc. and Starbucks. Lets look at another of the Kentucky senators contributions. Antonio Franklin a chief scientist at Qualcomm contributed to the Rand Paul campaign back in June 15, 2013. You may say individuals have a right to contribute. Yes I agree, but how many of you can write out a check of $2500? Here is where this ties in. Though the website doesn’t mention it, Qualcomm and its executives have long had a special interest in changing immigration policy, in particular a desire to boost the issuance of so-called H-1B visas. Those controversial documents admit high-tech and other well-educated but lower-paid specialty workers to the United States by employer application. According to the website MyVisaJobs, last year Qualcomm was ranked 14 among all H-1B visa sponsors. Now I wonder why Rand Paul feels our immigration system is broken as does the President. It is not broken. In fact it is one of the toughest in the world and it is not being enforced by the President and some Republicans wont hold him accountable. I did all the research myself. I am not controlled by any loyalty except to the future of this nation. So before you throw a stone make sure you step out of your glass house lest the glass chard cut you to smithereens. sandiegoreader/news/2013/apr/03/radar-aclu-qualcomm-cash/# ideologicalcartography/tag/larry-page/ fec.gov/fecviewer/CandCmteTransaction.do fec.gov/fecviewer/CandCmteTransaction.do jezebel/ted-cruzs-wife-heidi-is-way-cooler-than-he-is-right-1451461471
