Before I go to bed and doze off, somethings bothering me and I guess I just need to express this, the hell I care if this sounds heroic shit or whatever, I just think this matters because its happening and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Its depressing to learn after watching CNN that gender inequality is still a prevalent issue up until this generation. Women are greatly facing problems getting a job not because of their competency but because of gender. An Indian single mother, a college graduate has been deprived of getting a job, a job to hopefully make some money to feed her 2 year old son and pay for their apartments rent, their only home because she is a WOMAN. If we put it into figures, 30% of women in India and a shocking 65% and 75% of women in Brazil and China respectively, are facing problems landing a job just because they are WOMEN. The world has to realize a lot of things about women to reconsider this shitty, crappy, social norm. Its a must to fix this double standard and prejudice right away. I think it is right that women are paid the same as our male counterparts. I think it is right that women should be able to make decisions about our own bodies.I think it is right that women be involved on my behalf in the policies and the decisions that will affect our lives. I think it is right that socially, women afforded the same respect as men. This is supposedly a free world where women can go play and work the same with men. Lets not let this sad reality continue to happen. Being a feminist should not be seen as a threat to men. It just simply means, I can do that too. Recognize me. I am competent. Respect me, like the way I respect you. Nuff said. #Feminism #GenderEquality #Respect
