Before I say anything else, I want to say how much I love being a part of a Facebook group that IS just about coffee education. This is a small but amazing group. I took this pic on December 3rd at the Roastery, before it opened up. I ended up not using this on my blog, because my general blog readers arent always interested in this kind of thing. Barista Ellen (who is an amazing partner, and had been at Univ Village 1 before transferring to the Roastery) was attempting to demonstrate to me unroasted beans - the component parts of Pantheon Blend, and trying to show to me how washed beans have a different look than semi washed - you can see the difference. Starbucks Pantheon Blend is actually made of three beans, and unfortunately, only two are shown here: Colombia and West Java. I feel so lucky I was able to have such quiet one on one time with the partners at the Roastery last Wednesday - I feel badly that I cant remember the 3rd component of Pantheon Blend!! Will go ask soon!
