Before I see any more posts about Obama and surveillance for terrorism suspects I want to see more articles like this one. Gail Collins tells a story of a problem an American family encountered in 2003, when the George W. Bush Patriot Act was in full swing during his first term and Obama had not yet become President. The whole story illustrates an atrocity propounded on an American family, which was ruled unconstitutional by an Oregon court and its subsequent review was overthrown by a higher court. We cannot continue to blame the Obama administration for the deeds of the Bush administration and a puppet federal court. Those who call Obama "dictator" would do well to look at the Bush administration, to a time when Congress allowed President Bush to get virtually anything he asked for.
