Before I take the time to post photos from the 3rd Annual Atlantic - TopicsExpress

Before I take the time to post photos from the 3rd Annual Atlantic City Electric Employees Association Softball Tournament, I would like to sincerely thank all the people who worked many long hours to make it possible! There were 10 strong steams from all over South Jersey AND Delaware! Next, I would like to say how PROUD I am to say I was honored to be the Captain of Pleasantville Operations again. Every one of our players have the most desire, grit, and never say die attitude of any athletes I have ever known! 1st game we Beat Delaware! Then we beat Solution One from Carneys Point 15-0 & they have some players from Delaware! Then we beat Winslow. In the seeded playoff round we had to play Solution One again. It was a timed game, (50 mins.) With only 1 minute to go, we were down by 2 runs. We had bases loaded, 2 outs. Mike Cohen launched a bases clearing triple which won us the game! I wasnt the only one with chest pains! In the Championship game, we played a team from Glassboro-Bridgeton with some great hitters! We were down by 3 runs late in the game, but we rallied with many huge hits and WON the tourney for the 3rd straight year! In the last 3 years, were are 15-0 in games played! After our huge celebration & finally drinking beer, The team from Delaware even invited us to play in a huge tourney in Newark, Delaware against their teams in September! The roster of my team this year was, Coach Wayne Wright, Mike Boney, Bob Wolcott, Joe Hopson, Tom Black, Renee Cramer, John Benckert, Ryan Sherwood, Matt Felice, Craig Dannelly, Joey DiDomenico, Mike Meyers, and the MVP of the tourney was Mike Cohen! This smile on my face may be here for a week! Way to go Pleasantville! Dee was there for our inspiration again! Pictures to come.
