Before Mema was transferred to Kitty she aroused and we all gathered around her bed and told her how much we loved her. We showered her with tears, hugs, and kisses, and she did the same for us. She cried and told each of us that she loved us. She was reaching for us, but was unable to hug us, but it was clear she was trying. It was the most bitter sweet moment of my life, but has brought a lot of peace. At this time she is basically consciously sedated and resting quietly, and we plan to keep her that way because when she is alert, she is in pain. Thank you to each person that has called, txt, inboxed, or posted on my status or wall. You all are appreciated and your kind words have meant more than youll ever know. Please keep praying for her children - Sharon Wetherington, Karen Riggs Smith, Kelly Riggs Downes and Jason Riggs, and my Honey, as this is obviously a very heart wrenching time for them. God bless
