Linda Glardon Actions Linda Glardon Jan 23rd, 12:46pm Hey Mr. Daley. Im a foster and volunteer with North Mississippi Great Dane Rescue. We have recently taken a pledge to try to raise more awareness for the dogs we have in rescue. We have been using several social media outlets such as Facebook and Instagram to gain attention for our dogs. However, we have a special case that we would like to get special attention. Chibs came to our rescue as a puppy. He had such a severe case of mange that he didnt have any hair on his body. His eyes were swollen shut and his skin just peeled off at the slightest touch. So we began his medical treatment. At first things slowly progressed, but suddenly everything came to a screeching halt when he developed a sort of allergic reaction to the treatment. He almost lost his life, but after several emergency blood transfusions, he pulled through. We changed his course of treatment which meant a slower healing process. After over a year in his foster home in Gulfport, he is well, and he has beautiful black fur!! Even after everything he has been through, he is the most loving dog! He gets along well with children and other dogs and cats. NMSGDR would love your help and support to find Chibs his forever home. After over a year in foster care, he deserves it. Any form of media attention would be great. Could we maybe set him up as a pet of the week segment on the news? Even a simple story on his journey would be appreciated. NMSGDR is a 501(c)(3) non profit rescue. We do not have a facility. Instead we are run by the love and compassion of people who open their hearts and homes to Foster these gentle giants until they find their forever homes. We were founded in 2010 and since that time, we have gained fosters all over Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and even parts of Arkansas and Georgia.
