Before criticizing a scholar one needs to be familiar with some technical terms. Here we need to understand the difference between haram and 3adam-ul-jawaz (not permissible, disliked) or khilaf-al-oula. The shaikh did not use the word haram. As the matter of fact he said its a lie that someone claiming that I gave a such fatwa. However, he said its not permissible. You might say what is the difference between saying haram and not permissible. According to some scholars especially from shafi madhab. Theres a difference. So if we carefully listen to what the shaikh had said he might have intended disliked or not a good idea from a jurisprudence point of view since we dont know the exact amount of what we are buying for a known price that we are paying. So dont criticize a scholar because of your own lack of understanding of the subject thats being discussed. You might ruin your good deeds inadvertently.
