Before moving to Mekoryuk my family lived in Bethel up in third road housing. This was a new house which had replaced an old house so nothing unusual happened in the new house. I was asked by the ASHA manager if anything unusual ever happened in the new house. I told her, no, not knowing any better. It was kept a secret that something unusual happened in the old house which the new house replaced. I didnt get the whole story on the old house, but unknown to me, my kids were having unusual experiences. As time went by my kids tried to explain the unusual happenenings. I just ignored them as I was always too busy. (Ive been a single parent since July of 1992.) I told my kids not to worry about anything. They took my advice real well, and kept everything secret even from me until one day I was on the internet. Having real good preferial vision I thought I saw a figure of what I thought was my daughters dog Rodnita passing my room to the master bedroom which I allowed my daughters to stay in, I saw it through my left eye. I called out for her. (Rodnita!) Rodnita did not respond so I called for her again. I was irked that she did not respond to me again so I raised my voice, and said, Rodnita, I said get over here! I heard laughter from downstairs where my kids were. They were all sitting on the couch watching tv. In a loud voice I asked them what was so funny. My eldest daughter Sarah just said, That was not Rodnita you saw coming up the stairs, so I looked in the master bedroom to find it empty. I then went down the stairs to hear my daughter explain to me that I must have seen the shadow cat that hangs around the house. She also mentioned that there were shadow people. I looked at her wondering if she was feeling ill. She went further that sometimes the dog would perform tricks while looking at the door under the stairs. I didnt believe her until I actually saw Rodnita doing as she said. While her dog Rodnita was looking at the door under the stairs she would sit up, sit down, roll over, and then sit up as if begging with her tongue sticking out. My other daughter told me that while playing hide, and seek, she witnessed a large doll I bought for her baby sister turn its head 360 while it was set in the upstairs closet.
