Before this day ends, I want to share that 7 years ago today, my awesome dad, Paul James, Jr. slipped the surly bonds of earth and was called home to Heaven. I have been thinking of him all day. He was a pilot in World War II and the Korean War. He survived 52 missions. To give you a perspective, 26 missions was a tour and if you lived through it, you could go home with honors. He signed up again. He was a hero. His favorite poem was High Flight and I woke up thinking about that this morning.
