Before this evening is through and another Veterans Day has come and gone, I have to share these photos of my Dad, Charles John Peitsmeyer. It is with great pride that I share with you that he served his country for 21 years! He was in both Korea and Vietnam. Earned the Bronze Star for combat bravery and his most prized metal - The Air Medal for 25 combat flight missions. He was the gunner in a helicopter and was shot down 3 separate times and was the only soldier to live in one of those incidents. I am proud of his service and I hope he knows Im thinking of him today.
