Before we formally close flood updates I must make a mention of the hard work done by a very committed team on the Multan Front. The Chief Minister Punjab had given orders to put up best possible response to flood emergency. Following people played instrumental role in implementing these directions: City Front 1. Saadia Mahar AC City: real hard work, set up tent villages; promptly redressed issues flowing from tent villages; very tough front; she did a brilliant job; 2. 1122 team and Dr. Kaleem: dynamic and professional team Dr. Kaleem is an effective leader. Did a wonderful job of providing evacuation support directly to over 4000 people. 3. Desert Hawkes Unit of the Armed forces did a comprehensive job of rescuing people and establishing camps and giving relief; Their presence produced urgency in the people of flood belt; forced quick evacuation and we were able to avoid damages to lives; I have expressed my gratitude on behalf of the people of Multan. 4. DO Live Stock Dr. Mansoor: very dynamic; great presence; great public satisfaction. a veritable resource mobilizer; earned my appreciation and respect. Saddar Front: Dr. Mehwish had a long and overstretched battle front; she had to do a lot of improvisation since various camp sites had to be abandoned and new sites were to be established; She handled it all herself.
