Before you play in another persons backyard, you should get their permission first. This was my advice to a smaller promoter a few years ago before a shit ton of money was dropped into an event during a busy festival summer. The plug was pulled on said event before doors even opened... the promoter told me that they were sabotaged by a bigger promoter (which I dont believe). More proof is in the pudding tonight. Outside companies doing big shows at big venues tonight... it can and does happen if you do it right. Some folks are just delusional, I guess. Good to see other people doing big things... if people stay committed and dont have their PR person running around local nightclubs bragging that theyre stepping on other peoples toes to be successful. But meh... what do I know.
