Before you toss out (or better, recycle) your newspaper, use it to get rid of some garbage grime. I am constantly washing out the bottom of my trashcan thanks to mysterious leaks and buying scented bags to help cover odors, especially during the winter months when the house is closed up. Instead cover the bottom of your trashcan with old newspapers to soak up leaks and odors! Forget the overly priced scented trash-bags old newspapers will soak in all the odors for you and leaks for you!
