Beginners info ... (from a beginner - just chatting on my experience) I went into a shop (in Pretoria and frequented by Sean Nel) LOL. I was measured up at 27.5 for my draw length. (That was cool - I didnt even know I had a draw length) Eventually I collected my bow and it was pre-set up by the shop. I was (and still am) so excited and set up to shooting immediately upon getting home. I decided to limit myself to 50 shots per day for the first week as this is a brand new sport for me and I wanted to get my form correct. Anyway - after a few days I popped back to the shop and was shown that my form was pretty good except for my shoulders. We decided to increase my bows draw length by 0.5. WOW - what a difference. I immediately felt better. I could not believe the difference that 0.5 makes. I am able to widen my shoulders, pull down the front shoulder nicely and extend my trigger arm comfortably. So - if you are experiencing a little discomfort in your pre-release stance (I presume thats called your form) then maybe have your draw-length checked. As Sean explained we could expect my aim to be moving to the left a little but I will refrain from setting the sites until I can start hitting a decent grouping.
