Beginning a mega-bingewatching episode. Watching season 1 of Saturday Night Live with the late Billy Preston, Janis Ian (who is possibly the writer and singer of her genre), and George Carlin. Belushi, until then an unknown, was superb, as is the Queen of Comedy, Gilda Radner. I remember the first night this aired. We were living at the Ladera Apartments in Santa Barbaras west side, and Tania was 10 months old, and we were at a party as friends apartment elsewhere in Ladera. I went home to feed her and turned on the television in time to see a wacky faux advertisement. With no clue about what I was watching, I continued until it was over.
