Beginning in January, 2015, Taos residency will encompass a wide array of engagements and interactions, including concerto performances with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, solo recitals, chamber music concerts with musicians of the Dallas Symphony, composition commissions, and master classes in area schools and universities. In the 2014/15 and 2015/16 concert seasons, this will include the curation of concert programs to be included in SOLUNA: International Music & Arts Festival, the Dallas Symphonys new innovative, interdisciplinary festival to be held in the Dallas Arts District. A new composition for orchestra will receive world-premiere performances in Dallas in May, 2016. [...] As DSO Artist-in-Residence, Taos partnership begins with performances of Rachmaninoffs Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Dallas Symphony conducted by Music Director Jaap van Zweden at the Meyerson Symphony Center (January 8-11, 2015) and included multiple projects as part of the inaugural SOLUNA: International Music & Arts Festival (May 4-24, 2015) in the Dallas Arts District. Taos SOLUNA appearances include performing Rozsas Spellbound Concerto with the Dallas Symphony and Assistant Conductor Karina Canellakis in ReMix: Hollywood Exile at Dallas City Performance Hall (May 8-9, 2015) and a chamber music concert playing music by Rachmaninoff, Copland and Bartok with principal players from the Dallas Symphony at Dallas City Performance Hall (May 9, 2015).
